Seattle weather: Showers will be lighter Thursday
Lingering showers and mountain snow continue Thursday as a system moves through, with impacts possible in Cascade passes. We could see a few sunbreaks into Thursday afternoon as we dry out.
SEATTLE - Drier and much warmer weather is ahead for Western Washington this Easter weekend.
Showers will wind down tonight as an upper level low pressure system slides east. We will hang onto mostly cloudy skies tonight, but the steady rain will become more hit-and-miss, eventually tapering off for most lowland spots. The mountains may still see a few lingering showers into the evening, but overall, we’re trending quieter.

What's next:
Friday brings a bit of a transition day. A weak system passing to our north could brush the coast and north Puget Sound area with a few light showers, but for much of western Washington, it’s more about clouds than rain.
Temperatures will inch closer to normal, climbing into the mid-50s.
Easter weekend weather in Seattle
Now here’s where things get more interesting. An upper-level ridge begins to build Friday night into Saturday. Temps will be back into the 60s with a sunny afternoon.
The ridge strengthens even more on Sunday and Monday, bringing dry weather and the warmest temperatures of the year so far. By Monday, temperatures could reach the upper 60s to even low 70s in some spots. In fact, Seattle’s forecast high near the upper 60s would make it the warmest day we’ve seen since early October.

Weather outlook next week
The ridge begins to weaken on Tuesday as another system approaches from the southwest. Most of Tuesday still looks dry or just slightly unsettled, but by Wednesday, we’ll see a better chance for showers returning. Temperatures will cool back into the mid to upper 50s, which is closer to what we expect for early spring.
