SEATTLE - Lingering showers Thursday as the upper level low moves onshore over Oregon, bringing a few more inches of snow to the Cascades. Showers will be lighter Thursday and most will stay in the Cascades as light snow showers. We could see a few sunbreaks into Thursday afternoon as we dry out.

The Winter Weather Advisory continues through 11 a.m. Thursday for several more inches in the mountain passes. Snow levels will drop Thursday morning to at or below the passes, which could create impacts on pass travel.

What's next:

High pressure starts to build Friday, increasing afternoon temperatures and bringing drier skies. Sunshine and 60s return for Easter weekend, and we could even see highs around 70 degrees for spots along the foothills as early as Sunday. Highs will be the warmest of the year so far Monday, reaching around 70 for the Seattle area.
