Deputies: DUI driver crashed pickup truck into Kitsap County, WA home
KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. - A suspect is recovering in the hospital after deputies say they crashed their pickup truck into a home in Kitsap County while under the influence.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, a person believed to be driving under the influence crashed their pickup truck into a house near Old Clifton Rd and Berry Lake Rd, southwest of Port Orchard.
Authorities say no one in the home was injured.
When Kitsap County Sheriff's deputies responded to the incident, they found an ignition interlock device in the truck flashing the word "Blow," as well as several empty beer cans and suboxone packages.
Deputies say the driver was taken to St. Michael's Medical Center for treatment, and a blood draw warrant was obtained. Deputies forwarded information to the prosecutor's office to review.
