Kent Police seek help identifying vandal breaking mosque windows
KENT, Wash. - Investigators with the Kent Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a man caught on camera Saturday throwing rocks at a local mosque and breaking windows.
According to the Islamic Center of Federal Way, the act of vandalism happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
"The window can be replaced," said ICFW president Atif Nazir. "But this should never have happened in the first place."
Video shared with FOX 13 shows a pickup truck driving onto the property. A man gets out of the truck and hurl at least two rocks at the building. You hear glass break and then the man gets back in the vehicle and then peels off.

"This type of behavior won’t be tolerated," said Kent City Council President Satwinder Kaur. "Any type of hate crime, any type of crime against our religious institutions, it’s just not acceptable."
Kaur tells FOX 13 she is working with the mosque along with the police department to bring the person responsible to justice.
While Saturday’s incident has not been labeled an official hate crime, Kent Police are investigating.
This isn’t the first time ISFW has been victimized. Last summer individuals burglarized the mosque, stealing $300 worth of charitable donations.
"We’ve added security cameras," said Nazir. "We just want everyone to feel safe. This is a place of worship."
Anyone with information on the crime is encouraged to call Kent Police at 253-852-2121.
