EVERETT, Wash. - A driver has been taken into custody for suspected DUI and vehicular assault after hitting a parked car and injuring a person on I-5 north in Everett.
Washington State Patrol said a car was pulled over on the shoulder waiting for a tow from a previous collision. The suspected DUI driver hit that car, injuring the person.
The victim has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash caused lengthy backups on the highway and two right lanes were blocked.
