Eatonville boy accused of having 'kill list' allowed to go home
TACOMA -- A Pierce County court commissioner on Friday ordered the release from detention of a 13-year-old Eatonville Middle School student accused of compiling a "kill list" of fellow students under the condition he remain under adult supervision and that no guns be in his home.
Superior Court Commissioner Wendy Zicht also ordered that the boy wear an electronic monitoring device while he is free.
The boy was arrested Feb. 8 after the principal at Eatonville Middle School learned from another student that the boy had compiled a "kill list" of students he didn't like. The boy has since been expelled from school.
The Pierce County Prosecutor's Office said the boy had no weapons in his possession at the time of his arrest, but that the incident was serious enough to seek potential criminal action.
The boy's next court hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
