West Seattle house fire sends 2 to the hospital
SEATTLE - Crews responded to a house fire in West Seattle's Delridge neighborhood on Friday morning.
According to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD), at around 9:15 a.m., crews were dispatched to a house fire near the corner of 16th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Elmgrove Street.

The first fire engine to arrive observed smoke coming from the house and found two occupants in the back of the home needing help evacuating. Both victims were rescued while crews worked to extinguish the fire and search for a possible third occupant.
Firefighters treated a 60-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman at the scene before paramedics transported them to a nearby hospital for further care.

According to the SFD, the man is in critical condition, and the woman is in stable condition.
Crews had the fire under control about 20 minutes after the initial response. They searched the home multiple times but were unable to locate a third occupant.

Crews are now conducting a thorough overhaul and continuing to search the home due to the large amount of furniture and debris throughout.
