Burning vehicle blocks lanes on NB I-5 near JBLM

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. - Northbound I-5 is back open near Joint Base Lewis-McChord after a car caught fire on the side of the road.
What we know:
WSDOT reports a disabled vehicle caught fire on the side of the road near Nisqually, and emergency crews are already investigating.
Traffic officials initially said travel was down to one lane, but the disabled vehicle has since been cleared.
What we don't know:
It is not yet known what led up to the crash, or if there are any injuries.
According to WSDOT, backups have stretched all the way to Lacey.
Officials say drivers should expect delays traveling through the area.
