Let the balls fly at Seattle's City Hall
SEATTLE - The next time you're at the Seattle City Hall taking care of business, be sure to challenge a city employe to a game of ping-pong.
The city will be unveiling a new ping-pong table this morning, as part of a partnership with Northeastern University - Seattle. The non-profit university sold the table, paddles and balls to the city for one dollar.
The ping-pong table will be housed on the lower level of City Hall and will be available for public use.
Councilmember Nick Licata said, "City Hall is host to public concerts, public protests, public rallies; why wouldn't we add a public Ping-Pong table to the mix?"
Licata will face off against Tayloe Washburrn, Dean & CEO of Northeastern University - Seattle, for the table's first game Wednesday at noon.
