A man was shot and critically injured in downtown Seattle Wednesday night, and police are searching for a suspect.

SEATTLE, Wash. - A man was shot and critically injured in downtown Seattle Wednesday night, and police are searching for a suspect.

The man was found with multiple gunshot wounds on 12th Avenue S. near South Weller Street around 9 p.m.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police asked the public to avoid the area as they search for the suspect.
