Passenger killed in two-car collision; driver flees the scene
SEATTLE - A woman was fatally injured in early morning two-car rollover collision in south Seattle. Seattle police said that the accident happened just before 4 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 23rd Avenue South and South King Street. The woman killed was a passenger in one of the cars and the driver of that car fled the scene of the accident. Police said that the driver, a 29-year-old woman, called home, but returned the the crash scene with her mother.
The driver and passengers in the second car also fled the scene and it's unknown if they were injured. Police said the 29-year-old driver was booked into King County Jail for investigation of Vehicular Homicide and Hit and Run. The victim and another passenger injured are in their mid 20s. The names of the driver and woman killed have not been released. The other passenger in the victim's car was transported to Harborview Medical Center and her condition is unknown.
