Report: Man again suspected of date-raping woman

SEATTLE -- A 30-year-old Seattle man previously investigated for date rape has been charged with drugging a woman and raping her at his home, Seattlepi.com reported.

Police were called to the home of Mamadou S. Diallo when neighbors heard screams of "help" and "stop it" coming from Diallo's University District apartment, Seattlepi.com said. Diallo, who

was previously investigated for a date-rape but never arrested, was charged with second-degree rape. He is in King County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

According to the website, the 21-year-old victim was lightly drinking at a Capitol Hill bar on Dec. 31 when Diallo approached her and offered her a shot of whiskey. The woman said taking the shot was the last thing she recalls, even though she had only had three drinks that night.  A friend of the victim told police he tried to stop Diallo and the victim from leaving in a taxi, saying that the woman had a "blank, vacant stare."

"He began asking her what was going on," detectives said in a report given to the P.I. "She had a blank expression and the taxi drove off."

A neighbor of Diallo's called 911 at 3:30 a.m. after hearing calls for help at his residence. Police arrived and Diallo denied raping the woman.

Diallo was investigated in 2011 for drugging and sexually assault. Charges in that case were never filed.
