Russell Wilson's Passing Academy sends positive message to youth
SEATTLE - Football camp: Danger Russ style! Dozens of area young football players got to meet and compete at Russell Wilson's Passing Academy Saturday at a clinic at the University of Washington. Wilson's football camp brought together area youth, aged 9 - 17, to learn and develop their football skills, with the goal of encouraging kids to develop high character and moral standards. Campers attending today's academy not only learned all about passing, blocking, running plays, drills and scrimmages; they also learned a sense of competitiveness and fair play, and a respect for authority.
The young football players came from various backgrounds, including inner-city and underpriviledged kids. Those players attending the Russell Wilson Passing Academy agree to a Code of Ethics, which stress that players exhibit honesty, fair play, respect for other participants, officials, coaches and spectators regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
