Suspect arrested in beating death of homeless man in Sodo district
SEATTLE -- Seattle police have arrested a suspect in the beating death of a homeless man whose body was found under a blanket near 4th Avenue South and Edgar Martinez Drive S. on Sept. 28, the Seattle Police Department said Monday.
During the investigation, Seattle police detectives learned that victim Alvaro Ruiz had been in a dispute with two other men about a month before he was slain, an SPD statement said. Detectives were able to identify one of the men and arrested that suspect Saturday evening at Rainier and S. Bayview St., police said Monday.
Police booked the man into the King County Jail for homicide and have forwarded the case to prosecutors.
Detectives also have information about the second suspect in the case and are earching for him
