Teen arrested after deadly wrong-way, head-on crash on I-5 in Lakewood, WA
LAKEWOOD, Wash. - A deadly wrong-way crash on I-5 in Lakewood resulted in the death of another driver and a 17-year-old suspect arrested on suspicion of DUI.
What we know:
According to Trooper John Dattilo, a wrong-way driver struck another car head-on in Lakewood, killing the driver in the victim's vehicle. The suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested for driving under the influence.
The Washington State Patrol confirmed that the victim was a woman in a red Honda.

The suspect was not injured in the crash. Trooper Dattilo said the road was closed for several hours while officials processed the scene.
The Washington State Department of Transportation Tacoma and West Pierce Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene. The collision occurred near milepost 127, close to the Lakewood south city limits.

Troopers continue to investigate. No further details have been released.
