WSP: Man arrested for setting fire in median of SR 167 in Puyallup
PUYALLUP, Wash. - Troopers said they arrested a man who was caught setting a fire in the brush along SR-167 in Puyallup.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Ryan Burke said police found the 36-year-old Puyallup man Wednesday afternoon in the median of SR 167 at Meridian. He told police he had been in the area looking for his camera.
The man went live on Facebook and told his followers that he came across the fire while driving in the opposite direction. *The livestream below contains foul language.*
The fire started to spread and Puyallup Police were forced to close the northbound ramp on the highway.
State patrol said they had spoken with him earlier on Wednesday morning when a woman called to report a man walking on the highway in Sumner holding a lighter.
