It was nice while it lasted, but FOX 13 Meteorologist Mace Michaels says those dry days are coming to an end again, and we'll be seeing more rain through the end of the week.

After a sloppy week start to the week we're finally drying out and calming down.

Happy weekend all! Today not so bad around the region.  Some of us seeing a little more cloud cover than others, but all in all most of us were mainly dry.  Highs around Western WA slightly cooler than average again with SeaTac hitting 47, just five degrees off the mark for this time of year.

The showers are mainly done for the weekend around Western Washington and drier sunnier weather is heading our way.

Whatcom County man saves dozens from flooding with tractor

Sumas, in Whatcom County, is one of the hardest hit areas in our region from this week’s historic rains and flooding.

Rain, heavy at times overnight with clearing early for a mostly dry weekend ahead!

Showers will continue through the overnight hours with pockets of heavy rain at times before wrapping up just before the morning commute.  This is a fast moving system that will stick with us just about 12-18 hours.

With floodwaters receding in parts of Washington state damage assessments are beginning and Gov. Jay Inslee is promising he’ll aggressively seek federal money.
