The latest storm to hit the Pacific Northwest brought flood warnings, the shutdown of major mountain passes, school closures and icy roads Thursday.

A mix of rain and snow will continue this evening across the lowlands as an approaching warm front heads our way. Once it arrives, the snow will transition into widespread (moderate-heavy) rain, and we'll be left with a mess!

Just when Whatcom County residents thought they could put the snow behind them, another round is expected to hit the county.

Snow has been falling in the Washington Cascades at levels not see in decades as a months-long parade of storm systems continues to sweep through the Northwest.

All of Grays Harbor County is under a flood watch through the weekend, as weeks of heavy rainfall have increased the risk for flooding and landslides.

Some areas will see snow Wednesday afternoon and evening as a strong wet system pushes into the Puget Sound area.

For more than a week, some cities and towns in Washington have been buried in snow. Now, some spots are expected to potentially get even more snow this week. 

Authorities say Snoqualmie Pass has received the highest snowfall in 20 years as of January 3.

The winter skiing and snowboarding season on at Stevens Pass ski resort east of Everett, Washington, has gotten off to a rough start with the area opening only about half its terrain amid a staffing shortage.

Buckle up for yet another round of lowland and mountain snow in the days ahead! Many communities are also waking up to black ice.

While rain melted snow in some parts of King County, in North Bend and other locations with higher elevations, the snow continued to fall on Sunday and Monday.

One person was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after a multi-car crash in Tacoma.
