It's fall, and you know what that means—we won't be seeing much of the sun until spring. But, for the time being, temperatures are pretty nice!

Fall is starting to look like fall... but not only that, we may be getting that early dusting of snow at local ski resorts!

A frontal system is moving on board throughout the morning hours bringing rain and some locally gusty winds.  It'll be cooler today, with highs only in the upper 50s to near 60.  Normal for this time of the year is 65.  This afternoon, rain tapers off to a few showers.

Monday morning is starting with clouds across the region and chilly temperatures.

Quiet Monday ahead of some unsettled weather

Today will be dry and mostly cloudy with a little bit of sun trying to break through the clouds mid-day.  Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s, which is below normal.  Normal for this time of the year for Seattle is 65 degrees.

A large group of about 200 soldiers returned home to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) on Thursday after a month-long mission supporting firefighting efforts on the Dixie Fire in California.

Sloppy end to September; sweet start to October

A potent rain band will drop some heavy rain on I-5 around lunchtime today, then we'll start to dry out.  It is still pretty windy to the north with thousands of power outages in Whatcom County this morning, but the winds are calming down, and the Wind Advisory has been lifted.  Highs today will be below normal, low 60s.  The normal high for today is 67 degrees.
