Calming down for Seahawks Sunday and Halloween as we dry out for the weekend!
Seattle - What a day! Rain made it tough for morning commuters, but by the evening commuters were seeing dry conditions. Highs ran cool today, only in the upper 40s to low 50s.
As we close out October rain totals are up over average thanks to the atmospheric river that hit the region this week. Not only did the heavy rain fill up the bucket at SeaTac it also sent several area rivers to rise above flood stage. As of now we still have four major rivers under "Flood Warnings" until further notice. Most should recede through the weekend though.
We can thank developing offshore flow and high pressure building into the Pacific for our clearing skies through Halloween! Temperatures will warm some too landing in the mid to upper 50s over the weekend with steady mid 50s through next week.
With clearer skies overnight lows will take a dip into the mid to upper 30s for many areas. Brr! Average overnight temps for this time of year are in the mid 40s. Some locations may see patchy fog both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
What a forecast for Seahawks Sunday! As the Hawks look for a home win, they will try to do it against Jacksonville with kick off set for 1:05pm under sunny skies!
And a little later that night skies will remain clear as trick-or-treaters head out to fill their bags full of candy ! Be safe out there and remember to bring a flash light and dress warm as temperatures will cool from the mid 40s to the low 40s between 7pm-12am!
A few showers return Monday as we start the workweek but they'll pass through pretty quick and be light in nature. Highs upper 50s.
Tuesday looks mainly dry with highs cooling into the mid 50s. Wednesday skies cloud up with showers mainly at the coast and over the Olympics. Highs mid 50s.
Showers will cling to the North Sound Wednesday with scatted showers and sunbreaks Thursday and Friday. Highs both days land near 53.
Have a great weekend all!
