Seattle weather: Mostly cloudy Friday, chance showers north and coast

After wet days earlier this week, Friday will be drier and that will continue into the weekend. The forecast for this weekend is looking picture-perfect for egg hunts, and we are going to see some of the warmer temperatures since last fall by Monday.

A weak system will pass to our north Friday, bringing a few light showers along the coast and north interior. Mostly cloudy skies with a few sunbreaks are possible for the rest of the Puget Sound.

A Frost Advisory is in effect for the Olympia area southward for potential harm to sensitive plants through 9 a.m. Friday, overnight lows in the low to mid 30s.

Clouds will be around Friday, but high pressure will start to build in, which will warmer temperatures to more seasonal average highs.

What's next:

Skies will be clearing out for the weekend with more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs Sunday and Monday will get close to the 70 degree mark for some outlying areas. Temperatures will peak Monday in the upper 60s to low 70s with highs cooling back down by midweek. A slight chance of showers on Wednesday and Thursday, but not all models have agreed, so we will be watching it closely.
