2 men shot on Seattle's Beacon Hill
SEATTLE - Police are investigating after two people were shot in south Seattle late Thursday night.
Before 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot in the 1600 block of South Columbian Way.
Shortly after, Seattle police said the two were taken to Harborview Medical Center in a personal vehicle around 10 p.m.
Investigators said two men, a 47 and 38-year-old, were at an encampment near Beacon Avenue South when a Honda Civic pulled up on the street nearby.
According to police, one of the victims saw the driver hit a woman in one the passenger seat. The victim then walked over to the car to check on her.
Investigators said the driver pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting the two men.
The suspect drove away.
The two men were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
