Citing deicing-truck problems, Alaska Airlines says it expects to cancel more flights out of Sea-Tac Thursday

SEATAC, Wash. -- Alaska Airlines said Tuesday night that half of its deicing trucks had mechanical issues this week and it's expecting to have to cancel more flights out of Sea-Tac International Airport on Thursday.

The airline did not indicate how many flights would be canceled.

Alaska Airlines canceled about 35 flights Tuesday morning due to weather conditions.

Spokeswoman Ann Zaninovich said: "Half of our deicing trucks had mechanical issues. We are expecting more pre-cancellations for Thursday and should have an update with specifics late morning."
