100 gallons of diesel spills on I-5 after semi crash near DuPont, WA

All lanes of northbound I-5 re-opened Wednesday morning after a semi-truck crash near DuPont

What we know:

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-5 at Steilacoom-DuPont Road and blocked all lanes of the highway. 

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts, a semi was involved in the crash and up to 100 gallons of diesel spilled onto the road. 

According to investigators, the semi struck multiple concrete barriers before stopping. 

The driver was hurt and taken to the hospital, and faces a citation of second-degree negligent driving. 

All lanes reopened at about 5:30 a.m.
