Driver arrested after head-on crash kills 2 people on SR 18

PRESTON, Wash. -- Troopers arrested a driver after two people were killed Friday morning in a head-on crash on SR 18 in east King County.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said both directions of the highway were blocked near Tiger Mountain Summit starting at 5:15 a.m.

Johnson said a pickup truck heading westbound crossed the centerline and struck a car. Both passengers died at the scene.
