I'll have another: After stabbing, man orders another round before getting aid
SEATTLE -- Maybe he thought that some more alcohol would ease the pain, or maybe he was just thirsty, but a man who was stabbed in a bar fight didn't seek immediate treatment, instead he bellied up to the bar and ordered another round.
Police said that following an early morning altercation outside a Capitol Hill bar, a 21-year-old headed back into the bar for another drink before seeking treatment for his wound. The incident happened about 1 a.m. Monday, police said.
The man told police he was at a bar near Broadway Avenue and Pike Street when he got into an argument with another patron; the two then headed outside to resolve their dispute.
After a brief altercation with the other man, the victim walked away from the fight. After walking away, he said his side began to hurt. He then realized there was blood running down his back from a wound, but rather than heading straight to a medical facility, he decided instead that he wanted a couple more shots of booze and headed back into the bar.
After putting back his shots, the man then walked to a medical facility and staff called police.
When officers arrived to talk to the man, he was only able to give officers a vague description of the suspect.
