RV fire spreads to building, causes gas leak in West Seattle
SEATTLE -- An RV fire spread to a building in West Seattle overnight, and now firefighters are dealing with a gas leak near the West Seattle bridge.
According to Seattle Fire, the RV fire started about 1:00 a.m., then spread to a building at 28th Avenue South and Southwest Andover Street. This is near the West Seattle Bridge.
Firefighters put out the fire but said the RV hit a gas meter next to the building. Natural gas leaked for a short time before crews were able to shut off the valve and stop the leak.
Gas has been shut off to some nearby customers. Puget Sound Energy is was called to the scene.
No injuries were reported. Fire investigators are still looking into the cause.
