Suspect arrested after 25-mile long police chase, attempted carjacking in Seattle

SEATTLE -- Police say they arrested a man Wednesday after he led police on a chase and tried to carjack another driver.

According to Bellevue police, officers were called to a violent domestic disturbance on the 145th Place SE. The 24-year-old man took off after being approached by officers.

The suspect led police on a chase on both directions of I-405 and into south Seattle.

The chase came to an end after the suspect tried to carjack another driver at 23rd and Rainier Ave. S.

All northbound lanes of Rainier Ave. were blocked during the investigation.

Seattle police are working with the King County Sheriff's Office and Bellevue Police Department.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for evaluation before being booked into jail.
