Mariners lose Game 3 of ALCS 13-4 - 8:00 p.m.

Addison Barger hit the fifth home run of the night for the Blue Jays off Luke Jackson in the ninth inning to restore a nine-run cushion for Toronto.

Rookie Harry Ford had a pinch-hit single to lead-off the ninth for his first postseason hit of his career, but that was the only highlight of the ninth inning for Seattle.

Luis Castillo will start Game 4 for the Mariners on Thursday with Max Scherzer getting the ball for the Blue Jays.

Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh back-to-back HRs - 7:42 p.m.

Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh hit back-to-back home runs off Toronto reliever Yariel Rodríguez in the eighth inning to snap Toronto's streak of 12 unanswered runs, trimming the Blue Jays lead to 12-4.

Raleigh becomes the first player to hit 60 homers in a season to have three home runs in that year's postseason.

It's Arozarena's first home run of the playoffs with Seattle, and 12th of his career in the postseason.

Alejandro Kirk's 3-run HR makes it a 12-2 Toronto lead - 7 p.m.

Game 3 has gone south for the Mariners.

Alejandro Kirk crushed a three-run home run off reliever Caleb Ferguson in the sixth inning that gave the Blue Jays a ten-run lead, 12-2, over the Mariners.

Kirk's blast was the fourth home run of the night for Toronto's offense. Andrés Giménez, George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. each homered off starter George Kirby before Kirk's shot off Ferguson.

Toronto has 14 hits against the Mariners through six innings after being held to just eight hits combined in the first two games of the series.

Meanwhile, the Mariners have just two base hits off Toronto starter Shane Bieber since the first inning when Julio Rodríguez gave Seattle the early lead with a two-run home run. Rodríguez's single in the third inning, and J.P. Crawford's single in the fifth inning are the only hits for Seattle since the first.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hits third HR off George Kirby - 6:30 p.m.

The power surge for the Blue Jays continued in the fifth inning against Seattle starter George Kirby.

A solo home run to center field cleared the fence just beyond the reach of a leaping Julio Rodríguez for a 7-2 Blue Jays lead.

Guerrero is a triple away from the cycle with a single (first inning), double (third inning), and home run (fifth inning) under his belt.

A walk to Anthony Santander ended Kirby's outing with Carlos Vargas in

George Springer extends Blue Jays lead to 6-2 - 6:15 p.m.

George Kirby nearly gave Seattle a clean bounce-back inning after allowing five runs in the third inning, but George Springer had other plans.

A two-out missile to center field off Kirby for a solo home run gave Toronto a 6-2 lead in the fourth inning,

Kirby struck out Ernie Clement looking, and Andrés Giménez swinging to put two quickly away for Seattle. But Springer was able to get on a 95 mph sinker from Kirby to extend Toronto's lead to four.

The home run is the 22nd postseason home run of Springer's career, which ties him with New York Yankees great Bernie Williams for fourth-most in MLB history.

Blue Jays respond, take 5-2 lead in 3rd inning - 5:50 p.m.

Andrés Giménez clubbed a two-run home run off George Kirby in the third inning to erase Seattle's early lead and tie the game at 2-2.

Kirby surrendered a lead-off double into the left field corner to Ernie Clement to get a runner aboard for Toronto. Giménez then crushed a 96 mph fastball from Kirby deep to right-center field for a two-run homer that knotted the game at 2-2.

Nathan Lukes followed with a one-out single, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hammered a double off the top of the wall in left field as Lukes advanced to third to put pressure on Kirby.

After a walk of Alejandro Kirk loaded the bases, Kirby spiked a pitch that got by catcher Cal Raleigh as Lukes scored to make it a 3-2 game with all runners advancing. Daulton Varsho followed with a double off the wall in right field that scored Guerrero and Kirk for a three-run Blue Jays lead.

Julio Rodríguez gives Mariners quick 2-0 lead - 5:25 p.m.

For the second straight game, a first-inning homer from Julio Rodríguez has given the Mariners the early lead.

Rodríguez hammered a 93 mph fastball from Shane Bieber on the inner half of the plate and drove it into the Seattle bullpen over the left field for a two-run home run.

Rodríguez hit a three-run homer off Toronto starter Trey Yesavage in Game 2 that gave the Mariners an early cushion.

Randy Arozarena walked and stole second base before Rodríguez's blast put Seattle on top.

Per the Mariners, Rodríguez is the first player to hit multi-run home runs in the first inning of back-to-back ALCS games since Paul Konerko for the 2005 Chicago White Sox – 20 years ago today.

In the top of the first, George Kirby recorded two quick outs with a grounder to third from George Springer and a strikeout of Nathan Lukes. However, a chopper to third from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. saw Eugenio Suárez take a slight misstep before needing to retreat to keep the ball in the infield. Suárez's rushed throw sailed wide of first base and into the camera well next to the Seattle dugout for an error that moved Guerrero to second.

Cleanup hitter Anthony Santander has a strong history against Kirby, batting .400 with six hits in 15 at-bats in his career with two home runs and five RBI. But Kirby struck out Santander to end the inning and erase the error from Suárez without damage.
