Seattle weather: Rain returns for Friday morning

  • Overnight Low: 39 (mostly cloudy-rain returns around 2 a.m.)
  • Tomorrow High: 49 (showers early, should be partly cloudy by 11 a.m.)
  • Saturday High: 46 (mostly cloudy)

Today Seattle got to 52 degrees. The record is 60 degrees, which happened back in 1945. The sun came out, and it was a beautiful afternoon for almost everyone.

Rain returns early Friday morning and will be with us most of the morning commute and through mid-day. We will also see mountain snow. Showers will linger through the afternoon, but we could also see a mix of clouds and sun.

As you can see, the temperatures on the coast will be in the upper 40s, and further inland it will be in the mid to upper 40s. Seattle will get to 49 degrees tomorrow. The average high for the day is 47.

The record for January 10 is 59 from back in 1961.

The 7-day forecast features a rainy Friday morning, and snow in the mountains on Friday. On Saturday we have a mostly cloudy day, and things get sunny for the last half of the weekend, and early next week. Sunshine and temperatures in the mid-upper 40s. Take a look at Thursday, there is a slight chance of a wintry mix (rain / snow mix) for your morning commute, but the rest of Thursday actually looks pretty nice!

Have a great day!

Stephen
