Amazon opens new fashion studio in NYC
SEATTLE -- Amazon has opened up a new photo studio in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn to help spruce up the fashion section of its website.
According to the website, refinery29.com, Amazon's new 40,000 square-foot facility has 28 bays for styling, shooting and editing apparel.
Refinery29.com says the Seattle online retailer is hoping to make their items look less like stock photography and more like a book.
Cathy Beaudoin, president of Amazon Fashion tells refinery29.com that, "Fashion is such an emotional purchase. You practically need to interrogate the product. We wanted to create a center for excellence."
