Body found in burned tent at transient encampment near I-90

SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say they found a man's body inside a burned tent at a transient encampment in woods near Interstate 90.

Detective Patrick Michaud says that when police and firefighters reached the scene early Wednesday, they found that fire had engulfed the tent.

The body was found after the fire was extinguished.

The police arson unit is working with the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. Michaud says the fire is believed to be accidental.
