'I sincerely apologize to you all:' Gonzaga men's basketball coach cited for DUI in Idaho

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Gonzaga University men's basketball coach Mark Few was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Labor Day, according to multiple reports.
According to a police report obtained by KXLY, Few was stopped by officers for driving erratically. He allegedly showed several signs of intoxication and refused to complete a field sobriety test, KXLY reported.
Few allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.120. Anything above a 0.08 is above the legal limit.
The Spokesman-Review reported that Few was stopped around 8 p.m. on Monday at North Fourth Street and East Hanley Avenue in Dalton Gardens.
It's unclear what the citation could mean for Few in terms of remaining at Gonzaga. Few has coached the men's team for 22 seasons.
In a statement received by ESPN.com, Few wrote:
"I believe as a leader and role model, I am expected to set only the best example," he said. "The decisions I made yesterday do not exemplify this standard and for that, I sincerely apologize to you all. I recognize that operating a motor vehicle after consuming any amount of alcohol exhibits poor judgment.
"Regardless of the outcome of the pending investigation, I will never allow such a lapse in judgment to occur again. Please know that I am committed to learning from this mistake and will work to earn back your trust in me."
Gonzaga athletic director Chris Standiford released a statement saying the school is aware of the report regarding Few.
"While the facts of the situation are still being evaluated, we understand its severity and the legal process that will follow," Standiford said. "As a Gonzaga employee, we respect Coach Few's right to privacy and will refrain from further comment at this time."
