Liquor control board to act on pot rules Wednesday
OLYMPIA -- On Wednesday, the Washington State Liquor Control Board plans to take action on proposed rules implementing I-502, the state initiative legalizing the recreational use of marijuana.
The board will listen to the rules and potentially adopt them at their regularly scheduled board meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Once adopted, the board will file a supplemental rule making CR-102 form with the code reviser's office, the liquor control board said, an important milestone in the process of rule adoption.
The board will not take comments to the proposed rules at the meeting, located in the 3000 block of Pacific Avenue in Olympia. Public hearings on the rules will be scheduled soon, the liquor control board said.
