The King County jail system is facing more public – and now mayoral pressure – to hold more inmates in custody and investigate why the number of jail-related deaths have been increasing.

S. 320th St. was closed in the area of 8th Ave. S. while detectives processed the scene. No further details have been released.

Several people witnessed the shooting.

"I’m shaking right now. I’m a nurse. So, I just couldn’t believe. Because when the guy moved to the ground, and I saw his skin color, I knew he was gone. And I was like from what? It looked like road rage to me. From simple fight to what? Why did he fire," said Margaret Brooks.

Brooks tells FOX 13 News she saw the entire incident through a window.

"The guy who shoot, was like standing looking at what he did, like, he couldn’t believe what he has done. It was split seconds from the fight to the homicide," she added.
