More fake accounts on social media sites
SEATTLE -- Social media sites have more spam than ever, Fox News reported.
While email accounts have tough spam blockers, more spam and phishing accounts are targeting websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn because those websites can't always tell which account is fake and which one is real.
In the first half of 2013, there's been 355 percent more spam on social media sites, and it's estimated that one out of every 200 posts is spam and up to 5 percent of all posts on social media are spam.
