Near record heat today, then cooling down

SEATTLE -- It'll be mostly sunny today with highs in the mid 80s inland. The record for Sea-Tac is 86 degrees, set back in 1956. The coast will be cooler today with the beginning of onshore flow.  Yesterday, Hoquiam set a record with a high of 79 (previous record was 78 set back in 1964).  Today, Hoquiam tops out near 70.

Tomorrow, the marine air pours all the way on board and we'll be mostly cloudy with highs about 10 degrees cooler than today. We keep the mainly cloudy skies around through the weekend and into Monday. There is also a chance of a shower -- not much rain though, if any.  Highs will be below normal (which is 76) -- low-to-mid 70s.
