Oops, casino gives wrong man the $1 million prize...
CINCINNATI (FOX19) -- A blunder by Cincinnati's Horseshoe Casino gave the wrong man a $1 million grBut to make amends, the casino then gave each of the men named Kevin Lewis a million bucks.
The casino, which opened five months ago, had just awarded its second million-dollar prize to Cincinnati resident Kevin Lewis during its $3 Million Summer Giveaway promotion. The elated winner collected his prize, spoke to media and accepted well wishes from fellow guests.
However, following the celebrations, the casino realized it had made a blunder. During their final verification check, casino leadership discovered that a second Cincinnati resident with the same winning name, Kevin Lewis, was the true winner of the drawing.
"This was our blunder," said casino senior vice president and general manger Kevin Kline. "So, consistent with our commitment to do the right thing for our guests, Horseshoe awarded a $1 million dollar prize to each of the men."
Uhm, what if my name is Kevin Lewis, too?
