Pilot survives small plane crash near Enumclaw (PHOTOS)



ENUMCLAW, Wash. -- A pilot was trapped inside his plane after it crashed Sunday afternoon near Enumclaw.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, first responders were called around 4:00 p.m. to the area of 39200 block of Veezie Cumberland Road.

The pilot, a 50-year-old man, was alive and was able to call 911 for help. It was unclear how serious his injuries were.

An official with Puget Sound Fire said the pilot was going to be airlifted, but had to be taken by a ground ambulance because of weather conditions.
