Tacoma Police arrest 3 suspects after woman found shot to death inside car

Woman found shot to death in her car in Tacoma
Tacoma Police say it's the 21st homicide in the city this year. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots early Wednesday morning, and now they are trying to piece together what happened.
TACOMA, Wash. - Police have arrested three people after a woman was found shot to death inside a car in Tacoma.
Police responded to reports of a crashed car on South 47th Street and Pine Street around 4:40 a.m. on Sept. 22.
When they arrived, they found an unresponsive woman in the driver's seat. She was later identified as 42-year-old Soohui Kim.
Kim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say the shooting had taken place in a parking lot of an apartment complex in the 4500 block of S. Puget Sound Avenue. The victim had then driven away and succumbed to her injuries, crashing into a pole in the 2900 block of S. 47th St.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office said she died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police arrested 41-year-old Michael Deda on Sept. 28 as a suspect in Kim's death. He was booked into the Pierce County Jail on first-degree murder.
On Oct. 27, Michael Freeman was booked into Nisqually Jail for an unrelated matter. Freeman was then being booked into Pierce County Jail on a second-degree murder warrant.
Officers later arrested Cody Smith on Nov. 2 and booked him into jail on a second-degree murder warrant.
