WSDOT worker hit by car while responding to incident near Leavenworth, WA
LEAVENWORTH, Wash. - A WSDOT worker is recovering after his work truck was hit by another car near Leavenworth early Monday morning.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said a work truck was parked on the shoulder of US-2 between Leavenworth and Wenatchee before 6:00 a.m., and a state employee was responding to a disabled car.
While he was in the work truck, another car struck him.

The employee was taken to the hospital for treatment and "will be sore for a few days." Thankfully, officials say no one was seriously injured in the crash.
WSDOT notes this is the second time this month a crew member has been hit while responding to an incident on this same stretch of road.
