Hello 6pm sunset!  What a night… a gorgeous finish to Saturday after waking up to patchy fog around the region.  It took a little longer to warm up and clear out, but when it did temperatures landing in the upper 40s to low 50s for most of Western WA.

Are you ready for a seriously gorgeous weekend of weather? It doesn't get much better than sunshine in Seattle!

Overnight, expect patchy fog to develop for some, with a chance for freezing fog to the North and through the South Sound as temperatures land near freezing. Allow for extra time getting out the door as we could see some frosty roads too.

Seattle weather: Warm weekend ahead after dreary week

We are almost there folks!  The weekend is in sight, and we flip the script to bring back that thing called the sun and dry out!  We saw a little taste tonight of what's to come as we said goodnight to Thursday with a beautiful sunset.  

When will rivers recede? Rain decreasing before drying out this weekend

Showers will gradually decrease, and we'll finally dry out completely! This forecast a welcome sight for so many, especially those suffering in flood areas around the region. The good news…. Rivers will continue to recede as we close out the week.

Rain has let up, but flooding still a major issue through early Thursday.

The big weather story continues to be the dangerous flood situation around the region as a strong, subtropical atmospheric river slammed the Northwest with heavy rain and warm conditions.  Highs went soaring above average today with Seattle hitting 57 and a few other spots landing in the low 60s.  Normal for this time of year is 52.
