The gusty, Cascadia Gap winds which were impacting our foothill communities are finally relaxing tonight.  Several locations did report power outages during the height of the wind event overnight. Power has been restored to many spots.  Crews are working hard to get everyone back online as quickly as possible.  Peak gusts in some spots were over 50mph!  

Late Friday night into early Saturday morning, winds were gusty in communities near the Cascades. While it'll stay blustery there throughout the afternoon, winds aren't expected to be as strong as they were overnight. Otherwise, we're tracking the potential for light showers and mild temperatures today.

There will be gusty winds around the Cascade Gaps through Saturday morning. Clouds and a few showers stick around Saturday.

Warming temperatures and rain showers will help melt snow in areas that received a few inches overnight.

Some Western Washington school districts will be closed or delayed on Thursday because of winter weather. Check the status of your district below. 

The next weather system will bring rain and a chance for accumulating snow for some areas of Western Washington Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
