Scattered showers will dissipate this morning revealing some sunshine for Tuesday afternoon.

Rain will continue into the overnight hours and slowly fall apart, leaving us with spotty showers for the Tuesday morning commute. Temperatures will cool off well below average into the upper 40s.

For those wishing for warmer weather, you'll need to be patient for at least another week or two.

Yes, we were very chilly today across the Northwest.  Temperatures ran 10+ degrees below average.  In fact, according to the National Weather Service, we missed breaking a 50-year-old record low maximum temperature by a degree. (56 in 1972). 

You had to plan for much cooler weather if you were heading outside this weekend. We talked to some residents that spent their Sunday dodging raindrops at Lake Washington and wishing for summer-like temperatures. 

If you're hoping for a touch of summer weather anytime soon in Seattle – don't get your hopes up. It'll probably stay cooler than normal for another couple weeks.

The next three days look for cooler and showery weather at times. Expect spotty to scattered afternoon showers most days as the upper atmosphere sends in short waves of moisture.

After a super-soaking 48 hours, mild weather is in store for Western Washington today. Maximize on the gorgeous weather and get outside :)

Saturday starts out mostly cloudy with a few pockets of showers, otherwise look for mostly dry conditions with afternoon clearing. Highs warm a few degrees into the upper 60s.

Skagit County has had so much rain, the county's Department of Emergency Management and Public Works is monitoring the Skagit River for flooding. 

This week's atmospheric river has the potential to be among the strongest in recent memory, and heavy rain is expected this weekend throughout eastern Washington and northern Oregon.
