Kenneth and Daniel Burland: Father and son fugitives on the run in Spokane County
WANTED IN SPOKANE COUNTY-- Kenneth and Daniel Burland are in custody. Kenneth was arrested thanks to a tipster who saw his case featured on a Crime Stoppers of the Inland NW and called in a tip. Daniel was taken into custody at 2 a.m. on July 18, there is not any information available on the details of his arrest. ORIGINAL STORY (JULY 12, 2013) -- A father and son are on the run and wanted by authorities. Kenneth Burland is wanted for robbery and his son Daniel is wanted for escape. Police also said this father/son criminal team had a woman lure a victim into a parking lot where they then assaulted and robbed him. "When they pulled into the parking lot, Daniel and his dad Kenneth jumped out of the bushes, opened the car door, and Tased the victim in the neck. They also maced him in the face and on the arms. They stole a wad of cash and ran out of the parking lot," Christina Lacy of the Department of Corrections said. Both of them are now wanted for escape by the DOC for that armed robbery. Kenneth Burland has a criminal history that extends 23 years and includes convictions for robbery, riot, drugs and theft. His son Daniel has been busted for robbery, burglary theft and drugs. Police want to know where Kenneth Burland and his son Daniel, who has a distinct tattoo over his eye, are hiding out.
