More than 60 cars broken into in Renton during overnight spree
RENTON, Wash. - The Renton community woke up Saturday to a slew of vandalized and burgled vehicles across the city, mostly in area hotels. Also hit were Top Golf, the Boeing parking lot and at least one apartment complex.
Early reports indicate three or four individuals broke into more than 60 cars during the overnight prowl across eight locations, including the following:
- 700 block of Logan Ave,
- 1700 block of E. Valley Rd,
- 1800 E. Valley Rd,
- 1200 block of Lake Wa Blvd N,
- 1300 block of Lake Wa Blvd N,
- 1800 block of Maple Valley Hwy, and
- 400 block of S 50th St.

Among the various items reported stolen were guns, this means the suspects are now considered dangerous and potentially armed.
As officers continue their investigations, RPD say they expect to become aware of additional break ins and stolen items.
As of Saturday afternoon, police are collecting evidence, surveillance, and witness statements.
What they're saying:
"We know this is a heavy burden to those victimized in these senseless acts," said Deputy Chief Ryan Rutledge. "We want our community members to know that we will fully investigate in our attempts to identify the suspects involved."
"I want to guarantee you that we are taking this as seriously as possible. We have our patrol officers on it. Our detectives will be on it," said Meeghan Black with Renton Police.
