Man shot in head near Seattle's Interbay neighborhood

SEATTLE - Seattle Police are investigating after a man was shot in the head near the Interbay neighborhood Monday night.

Officers responded to 15th Avenue West just south of the Ballard Bridge around 10 p.m.

Police say a man was found in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. He was treated on scene by first responders before being taken to Harborview Medical Center.

Seattle Police confirmed the victim died in the hospital Tuesday morning.

SPD says they located evidence of a possible suspect and are actively investigating. No arrests have been made yet.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still being determined.
