Quake shakes things up on Key Peninsula
KEY PENINSULA, Wash. -- A 3.6 magnitude earthquake slightly shook homes around the Key Peninsula and south Kitsap County late Tuesday morning.
According to the USGS, the 3.6 quake was about three miles deep and less than a mile from Key Center, Washington. Residents in the area reported items shaking on their walls, and a couple of broken teacups.
"Right under us!" Facebook user Jill Hindman said. "No damage just lots of shaking and rattling windows."
The last noticeable earthquake to hit Seattle occurred in June, 2009 and measured 4.5 on the Richter Scale.
