Snohomish Co. firefighters work to extinguish house fire
LAKE STEVENS, Wash. - Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue teams responded to a large house fire in Lake Stevens Monday night.
The fire initially broke out inside a garage on 71st Avenue Southeast around 8:15 p.m.
It quickly spread to the rest of the house, engulfing the living room and multiple vehicles outside.
Fire officials said the fire was under control at 9:40 p.m.
Two adults were displaced, and neither were injured in the fire. The Red Cross is providing them with assistance.
Surrounding homes were protected, as crews say some neighbors used hoses to keep their properties safe.
The Everett Fire Department, Marysville Fire, and Snohomish County Fire District 4 assisted in putting out the fire.
The cause of the fire is still being determined.
