Sun and clouds to start Monday, showers increasing,

On August 18, riders at Six Flags Mexico were left dangling mid-air after a storm caused the Sky Screamer ride to stall.

A flash flooding at the Havasu Canyon area has left hundreds of tourists stranded and in need of rescue. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service said the area received an inch to two inches of rain within the timespan of an hour to an hour and a half.

After experiencing remarkably cool and wet weather the last couple of days, we're forecasting the return of gorgeous summer weather just in time for Labor Day weekend. 

Hawaii's Big Island has seen round after round of squally weather that has knocked out power to thousands of residents and prompted Flash Flood Warnings.

A soggy Saturday morning with some impressive rainfall totals around Puget Sound.  The heaviest rainfall was in the north sound where some spots saw over an inch of rain just since midnight.  The rain tapered by Saturday afternoon, allowing for a dry kickoff to the Seahawks' last pre-season game. 

After smashing old records for the coldest high temperatures Friday at Sea-Tac Airport, Bellingham and Olympia Friday, temperatures remain cooler than usual Saturday. Highs gradually warm in the following days. 

Fall- like conditions settled into Western Washington last week with cool, showery weather. A warm up is forecast by the middle of next week as we return to summer sunshine.

With highs in the low 60s and scattered rain in the forecast, it's feeling much more like autumn than late August! Temperatures will be some of the coldest we've ever seen for this time of year.
