Winter storm weather has returned to Western Washington, bringing with it an active weather pattern. With multiple strong fronts forecast, expect rain and gusty winds in the lowlands and heavy snow in the Cascades.

Western Washington will see several rounds of heavy rain over the next seven days with mountain snow in the forecast through Sunday morning.

Snoqualmie Pass is partnering with the Washington State Patrol to enforce all traction requirements during Friday's storm, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Rain returned to the Pacific Northwest this evening and snow is falling in the mountain passes tonight. We could see 3-5" by Friday morning. 

After an extended period of quiet weather, we're forecasting an exceptionally busy, active first week of December.
